We have made about 220 gallons so far this season. Right now we are checking for vacuum leaks when possible, and digging out mainlines. We have a lot of work to do before we get our tubing system leak free. Right now the sap is just trickling in, we have high winds that are really keeping it from running. The wind should die down tomorrow and we hope the sap flow picks up. If all goes well we will boil for the third time tomorrow night.
Right now with all the snow, I would love to see a few days in the 50's and some sun. That would really get the season rolling. It does not look like that will happen in the next week or so. The past two seasons have come early and without a break. This is shaping up to be a more
"traditional" season, if there is such a thing.
