As for the weather, it continues to be above average in temps. If anyone does not agree with global warming you need to only look at the start of the VT sugaring season dates and you will see it has gotten earlier and earlier every year. In-fact this is by far the earliest we have ever made syrup. Last year we made syrup Feb 18 which was about 7-10 days earlier than an early season run, this year we made syrup on Feb 6!!!!
We still have a lot of tapping to do. So far we have about 12,000 out of 18,250. We are hoping to get done around the end of next week.
